The trial court manifestly abused its discretion in refusing to grant appellant a continuance to permit his newly retained private counsel the opportunity to prepare for trial and abused its discretion in allowing the commonwealth to introduce prior bad acts evidence. Judgment of sentenced vacated and remanded for a new trial.
