More than a decade after three former Philadelphia police officers began a successful suit against the city alleging racial discrimination in the department, a federal judge awarded fees to their attorneys, who have since ended their representation of the plaintiffs.

U.S. District Judge Mary McLaughlin of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania awarded $371,522.50 to Brian Puricelli, the lead trial lawyer, $24,050 to Annette Oakley, and $15,900 to Theodore Kravitz.
