A man who had just been awarded $50,000 over a paperwork mistake that kept him imprisoned 22 months beyond his sentence was arrested moments after the verdict was announced.
As his lawyer interviewed jurors, Calvin McGee was whisked away by sheriff’s deputies executing an arrest warrant from August 2011. The charge was failing to report for probation, according to the warrant provided by the Fulton County, Ga., Superior Court Clerk’s Office.
