A Pennsylvania law that abolished jury commissioner offices and allowed counties to sell excess farm products was a clear violation of the constitution’s single-subject rule, an attorney for the jury commissioners argued before the state Supreme Court on Tuesday.
But the more important issue for the court to address to ensure this case doesn’t come before it again is whether the law, Act 108, violates the state constitution’s separation of powers doctrine, Samuel C. Stretton argued on behalf of the jury commissioners.
