Less than two weeks after the Pennsylvania Superior Court directed litigation between Penn State University and one of its insurance companies to the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, Penn State has sued the insurer in Centre County, demanding a jury for issues triable by one.

In a lawsuit filed Tuesday, Penn State claimed Pennsylvania Manufacturers’ Association Insurance Co. failed and refused to honor its obligations to the university under a number of commercial general liability policies that Penn State said were implicated by allegations against convicted serial child molester, and former Penn State defensive coordinator, Jerry Sandusky.
