For the first time, Pennsylvania constables will operate under a uniform set of rules when they work for the courts. The operating rules are based on the recommendations of a working group established by the state Supreme Court.
A spokesperson for the courts said the rules impose a dress code, requirements regarding cars used in transporting prisoners, billing and other operating procedures.
