A federal jury in Pittsburgh awarded an $8.1 million verdict for willful infringement of a technology patent earlier this week.
The trial spanned two weeks and followed nearly four years of litigation over Grant Street Group's claim that Realauction.com had violated its patent for a software system to handle financial auctions on the Internet.
