A car dealer may be held personally liable for selling an allegedly stolen vehicle, an Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas judge has ruled.
In an opinion explaining his May 20 decision in Murry v. Curotola, Judge Alan Hertzberg argued that Joseph Curotola was personally liable for selling the vehicle to Susan Murry because he failed to apply for a certificate of title for the allegedly stolen vehicle within six months of the vehicle's purchase.
