Plaintiffs in the first federal suit filed in Pennsylvania challenging the state’s ban on same-sex marriage have submitted their briefs in opposition to the Corbett administration’s motion to dismiss.
It is the first volley since the case was put on an accelerated schedule by U.S. District Judge John E. Jones III of the Middle District of Pennsylvania, who announced earlier this month his intention to rule on the motion to dismiss by mid-November.
