I am a young attorney who wishes to become a trial lawyer. What would you suggest I do to gain the trial skills?

To be a trial lawyer is to be at the heart of the legal profession. Great lawyers in the past almost always have been excellent trial or appellate lawyers. Unfortunately, now a very small percentage of lawyers actually go into court with any regularity. As a result, trial skills are perhaps not what they would have been 40 or 50 years ago.
