The three former Penn State administrators charged with covering up the crimes of Jerry Sandusky are pointing to the alleged conduct of Cynthia Baldwin and state Office of Attorney General prosecutors as reasons their cases should be dropped, according to new filings that the parties submitted to the court.
On Tuesday, the three defendants, in post-hearing memorandums, identified pleadings, findings of facts and conclusions of law pursuant to an order that Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas Judge Todd A. Hoover issued in January. The new filings largely flesh out allegations the parties previously made regarding Baldwin, who represented the university while the three were being investigated, and places an increased emphasis on the conduct of the prosecutors during the grand jury proceedings.
