An Allegheny County trial judge has ruled that attorney-client privilege does not extend to corporations that are no longer in business.

In RedVision Systems v. National Real Estate Information Services, Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas Senior Judge R. Stanton Wettick Jr. ruled that the former in-house counsel for the defendants, all of which are defunct companies, must turn over to the plaintiffs documents related to the disposition of those companies’ assets.
