Ex-Penn State President Graham Spanier has taken to the federal courts to continue battling criminal charges of covering up sex abuse committed by Jerry Sandusky.

Seeking a federal injunction that would stop the prosecution, Spanier filed a suit Monday in the Middle District of Pennsylvania against Attorney General Kathleen Kane. The suit alleges that the investigation underlying the case was conducted in bad faith, and that it violated his constitutional right to due process. Captioned Spanier v. Kane, the suit specifically mentions former Chief Deputy Attorney General Frank Fina, alleging that he acted in bad faith.
