The state Superior Court has denied the appeal of the last defendant to stand trial in the Bonusgate scandal.
A unanimous three-judge panel of the Superior Court on Tuesday denied the appeal of Stephen H. Stetler, a former state representative and Pennsylvania revenue secretary who was found guilty of six charges stemming from alleged public corruption in 2012. Stetler, who was the last of 25 defendants to stand trial in connection with the public corruption scandal, had appealed his sentence of 18 to 60 months in prison and payment of more than $466,000 in restitution.
