A man who briefly owned a property in between sheriff’s sales could be held liable for a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on the property during that time, a Northampton County judge has ruled.

In Siegfried v. Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Northampton County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Stephen G. Baratta dismissed all defendants from the litigation except James Rotherham, executor to his father’s estate.
