Greenberg Traurig has asked a Philadelphia judge to affirm an arbitration award of $673,060 in its favor and against two former shareholders who left to form their own firm.

On Aug. 11, a three-member panel of the American Arbitration Association awarded Greenberg Traurig $935,560 against former partners Steven Berman and Stuart Poppel. That amount represented fees Berman and Poppel collected after they left Greenberg Traurig to form Berman Indictor & Poppel, according to court documents. Greenberg Traurig argued those fees, however, were earned for work done while still at the firm, according to court documents in Greenberg Traurig v. Berman.
