The state Supreme Court has taken administrative duties away from the Washington County president judge, and appointed a former Allegheny County administrative judge to handle those and the court’s other internal operating matters.

The Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts announced Wednesday that Senior Judge Joseph M. James has been named interim administrative judge of Washington County to assist Washington County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Debbie O’Dell Seneca. O’Dell Seneca will continue to serve as president judge and carry a full caseload, according to the statement.
