Taking center stage across Pennsylvania’s three federal judicial districts in 2014 were: football in the Eastern District, civil rights in the Middle District and cybercrimes in the Western District.

U.S. District Judge Anita Brody of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania started the year by rejecting the $760 million settlement agreed to by the National Football League and its former players over allegations related to head injuries.
