With the Nov. 4, 2014, elections, Republicans built on their already-strong majorities in the state House of Representatives and Senate. The GOP legislative victories came on the same Election Day that voters rejected incumbent Republican Gov. Tom Corbett in favor of his Democratic opponent, Tom Wolf. Wolf is set to be sworn in Jan. 20.
