The CEO and chairman of the board at NOVA Bank were indicted on Friday for attempting to defraud the government’s TARP—Troubled Asset Relief Program—to the tune of $13 million, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Philadelphia.

Brian Hartline, the president and CEO of the bank, and Barry Bekkedam, the chairman of the board, were charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States, TARP fraud, making false statements to the federal government, and bank fraud, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Bekkedam is also charged with two counts of wire fraud.
