A worker cannot collect unemployment compensation after terminating employment when the reason for quitting is a loss of employer-provided transportation, the Commonwealth Court has ruled.
A split en banc panel of the Commonwealth Court decided Jan. 14 that Brian K. Morgan should not get unemployment compensation after quitting his job due to his employer’s confiscation of a company-provided vehicle, fuel and E-ZPass, even though paying for his own transportation would cost Morgan half of his earnings.
