The chief judge of the Western District of Pennsylvania has denied attorney fees to a bank that had been accused of violating another company’s patent in its banking app.

Bank of the West had been one of more than 25 parties that Maxim Integrated Products had accused of infringing on its patents—those cases were consolidated into a multidistrict litigation that was sent to the Western District in 2012.
