The judge presiding over an unsettled civil suit against convicted serial child molester Jerry Sandusky has defended his decision to keep the case in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
Judge Angelo J. Foglietta issued his opinion in John Doe D v. Sandusky on Feb. 19 asking that the state Superior Court deny Penn State University’s appeal in case. The university had appealed a March 2014 order in which Foglietta denied its motion to transfer the civil action based on forum non conveniens.
