A former University of Scranton police officer has persuaded a federal judge to keep the school from subpoenaing her current employer for her records.
Lisa Kimes, who worked at the University of Scranton for about five-and-a-half years, brought a suit against the school alleging that it had retaliated against her for using leave time to care for her sick son under the Family and Medical Leave Act. She was given worse assignments and shifts than her male counterparts and she was later fired on pretextual grounds, she alleged.
