Reed Smith grew its revenue by 7 percent in 2014 on what firm leadership said was better performance in project management and the strength of the firm’s five core industry groups.

The firm had a record year in key financial metrics, growing gross revenue from $1.075 billion in 2013 to $1.151 billion in 2014. That outpaced head count growth of about 5.3 percent from 1,555 attorneys in 2013 to 1,638 last year. Revenue per lawyer (RPL) rose about 2 percent from $690,000 to $705,000.
