The Pennsylvania Supreme Court candidates made clear during a forum Thursday that integrity of the courts will take center stage in the election, while many said the state’s highest court should be taking on and deciding a greater number of cases.

Of the 12 hopefuls running for three open justice seats, 10 gathered for a 90-minute panel discussion with the Philadelphia Bar Association. Superior Court Judges Cheryl Lynn Allen, Christine L. Donohue, Anne E. Lazarus, Judith F. Olson and David N. Wecht; Philadelphia Administrative Judge Kevin M. Dougherty; Jefferson County Court of Common Pleas President Judge John H. Foradora; Adams County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Michael A. George; Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas Judge Dwayne D. Woodruff; and Supreme Court Justice Correale F. Stevens participated on the panel. The only two candidates who did not participate were Commonwealth Court Judge Anne E. Covey and Montour County District Attorney Rebecca L. Warren.
