The former heads of the subrogation unit of what is now Nelson Brown Hamilton & Krekstein ran the department like a “frat house” and discriminated against the female attorneys working there, a former associate at the firm has alleged in a lawsuit.
Elizabeth Bailey, who had worked at the firm as an associate while it was known as Nelson Levine de Luca & Hamilton, alleged in a complaint filed Monday that Daniel J. de Luca and Kenneth T. Levine, who had led the firm’s subrogation unit, discriminated against her and retaliated against her for complaining about the alleged environment. The suit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
