For those organizations that haven’t yet had a wake-up call about “bring your own device,” or BYOD, the recent fallout from Hillary Clinton’s use of a personal rather than an official email account during her tenure as secretary of State can be especially instructive. Using personal email and devices is a massive trend facing corporate America. Like ringing a bell, BYOD cannot be undone. In January, Vodacom released a survey in which 95 percent of respondents said they use at least one personal device for work.
