An executive at a tech company got out of a lawsuit over a soured business deal after he got the declaration of a lawyer struck.
U.S. District Judge Edwin M. Kosik of the Middle District of Pennsylvania agreed with James Filla, an executive for Maps inDeed who lives in Missouri, that the declaration of a lawyer isn’t sufficient to establish jurisdiction over Filla in Pennsylvania.
