I am a new lawyer and I am concerned about the amendments to the escrow and financial recordkeeping requirements for lawyers. Is there a bottom line that I have to comply with?
The amendments to the Rules of Professional Conduct that went into effect on or about March 17 should be clearly read. They are found in Amendments to Rule of Professional Conduct 1.15. But to condense it, every lawyer should, at a minimum, follow these guidelines:
