With several national law firms recently adding attorneys focused on advocating with state attorneys general on behalf of their clients, AG-based practices appear on the rise. But this might not be the case in Pennsylvania.

The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office frequently announces multistate settlements and consent orders that it is involved with. The office has also recently spearheaded an action against energy providers for allegedly deceiving customers about rates, and an action against Chesapeake Energy for its practice of taking post-production costs out of royalty payments to landowners, among other things.
