I am a judge and I have served in the past on the board of trustees of my church and acted as an executor for a family member. May I continue with these activities until they are completed?

The new Code of Judicial Conduct for common pleas and appellate judges went into effect on July 1, 2014. But there were certain provisions that were delayed until this July 1. The order dated Jan. 8, 2014, by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court adopting a new code noted that the Code of Judicial Conduct Rules 3.4, 3.7, 3.8 and 3.11 had to be complied with no later than July 1 of this year. But the court also urged all judges to comply as soon as reasonably possible.
