A whistleblower suit filed by a zoning enforcement officer who alleges he was fired for reporting on problems with a school district construction project will be allowed to go forward, the Commonwealth Court has ruled.
A three-judge panel Wednesday reversed a trial court’s decision to toss the officer’s complaint because his reporting of problems was a job requirement. The decision in Rohner v. Atkinson remanded the case for further proceedings on the whistleblower claims.
