The state Supreme Court has denied a bid to reduce to present value an $18.5 million verdict against Genuardi’s Family Markets and Safeway Inc.

The justices Wednesday denied allocatur in Newman Development Group of Pottstown v. Genuardi’s Family Markets. The denial affirms a decision from an en banc panel of the state Superior Court in August, which held the judgment did not need to be reduced to present value.
