Duane Morris has settled a legal malpractice case filed against it by the former chief medical officer of Aria Health, who argued the firm’s representation of him in an underlying suit caused his termination.

According to a July 22 docket entry in the case of Bucci v. Aria Health System, the case was marked settled by Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Mark Bernstein. On the same day, a stipulation of voluntary dismissal by the plaintiff was approved, dismissing all of the Aria Health defendants, including its chief legal officer, Rafael Villalobos. The stipulation was silent as to the Duane Morris defendants, which included the firm and partners Jonathan Wetchler and David Landau. The entire matter is marked settled, however. No terms of any settlement were disclosed.
