Arguments before the state Supreme Court in a case involving two injured police officers claiming they were the victims of an insurance fraud scheme focused on the requirements for waiving uninsured and underinsured motorist policies for a commercial fleet vehicle.

The justices heard arguments in Philadelphia Sept. 9 in Egan v. USI Mid-Atlantic on whether or not failure to have a form specifically waiving the coverage under Section 1731 of the Motor Vehicle Financial Responsibility Law created a right of action for the police officers to claim that the defendants committed fraud.
