With less than a week before the World Meeting of Families kicks off the pope’s visit to Philadelphia, law firms are still making decisions on whether and when to close down in a Center City that will largely be barricaded from Sept. 25-28.

Since The Legal last checked with law firms in early August about their operations plans during Pope Francis’ visit, many more firms have made more definitive plans, with the bulk deciding to close on Friday, Sept. 25, when the intense security measures will be in place for the pope’s weekend visit. But even some of those firms are still waiting to decide what to do on that following Monday, Sept. 28, when bridges and roadways into the city will still be closed down as crews work to deconstruct the security installations.
