The state Supreme Court has suspended Danielle Ross, the former Lackawanna County guardian ad litem who was sentenced to one year in prison after pleading guilty to a single count of attempted tax evasion, for 26 months. The suspension on consent is retroactive to March 6, 2014.

In its Sept. 24 per curiam order, the Disciplinary Board cited Ross’ violations of Pennsylvania Rule of Professional Conduct 8.4(b), regarding criminal acts that reflect adversely on a lawyer’s honesty, trustworthiness or fitness, and Pennsylvania Rule of Disciplinary Enforcement 203(b)(1), which says a criminal conviction is grounds for discipline.
