It’s the fourth quarter, which in the legal industry means collections season. And while law firm leaders have said they have focused on improving their collections cycle, most still said to call back come Jan. 1 for any clear picture of the year’s finances.

But some firms have spent time in the past few years either incentivizing their attorneys to get better and faster at collections or putting that role in the hands of professionals. The best approach may be a combination of things that attack the issue from all sides.
