Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane on Thursday made public dozens of emails she called “offensive” involving state Supreme Court Justice J. Michael Eakin, and called into question first deputy attorney general Bruce Beemer’s review of a 2014 investigation into Eakin’s emails.
Kane released 48 emails either sent or received by Eakin that included photographs of nude women, as well as sexist and offensive jokes. Eakin was on the receiving end of the bulk of the emails, and sent four emails, three of which were part of one conversation. Some of the emails have been previously reported by the media.
