A Philadelphia judge has outlined his reasoning for applying New Jersey law to the Risperdal-related mass tort program, which would bar plaintiffs from making punitive damages claims.
Judge Arnold L. New, coordinating judge of the Complex Litigation Center, released the opinion Oct. 23 explaining why he had granted a summary judgment motion from Janssen Pharmaceuticals in In re Risperdal Litigation on the issue of punitive damages.
