The owner of Philadelphia’s major daily newspapers and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius are seeking a six-month delay in a lawsuit over the firm’s handling of a 2014 ownership dispute and sale of the papers.
The parties’ joint request for an extension of time in the lawsuit comes days after Philadelphia Media Network (PMN), the owner of The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Daily News and Philly.com, objected to document requests from Morgan Lewis to Dilworth Paxson, PMN owner H.F. “Gerry” Lenfest and PMN itself that PMN said were seeking attorney-client privileged information. Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Patricia McInerney still has to sign off on the extension request.
