Voters are set to go to the polls Tuesday in an historic and contentious race for the state Supreme Court, one that will likely decide the political makeup of the court for years to come.

Seven candidates are running for three open seats on the court, which is currently made up of two Democrats and three Republicans. One of those Republicans is set to leave the bench at the end of the year.
