Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane changed course the afternoon of Nov. 13, reversing a decision she had made that morning to ignore a Senate committee’s subpoena for information about the operations of the Office of Attorney General since her law license was suspended. While continuing to say that the committee lacks the authority to pursue her removal from office, Kane said she was responding to the subpoena “to maintain the respect and decorum of our government.”

Kane had said the morning of Nov. 13 through OAG spokesman Chuck Ardo that she would not comply with the subpoena because she believes the committee is pursuing an inappropriate process to remove her.
