Nearing the end of a year when gas prices dropped significantly and oil-and-gas-related title work opportunities became fewer, Pennsylvania energy attorneys said there is still work to be had in the market.

As a result of the challenging oil-and-gas market, a number of firms turned to layoffs and cutbacks, while one prominent firm closed. But attorneys said firms with diversified oil-and-gas practices have not only survived the changes, but continue to have a robust business. In particular, lawyers who represent landowners said their practices remain strong.
