An injury complaint that does not specifically designate the injury as work-related is still sufficient to inform an employer that it could be liable for workers’ compensation, the Commonwealth Court has held.

A unanimous three-judge panel ruled Nov. 23 that an employee’s notice to his employer that he was experiencing back pain resulting from cumulative trauma served as timely notice of a work-related injury.
