Slip and Fall • Negligence • Isolated Patch of Ice Exception to Hills and Ridges Doctrine • Subsequent Accident
Magaskie v. Wawa Inc., PICS Case No. 15-1877 (Pa. Super. Dec. 10, 2015) (memorandum) Gantman, J. (17 pages).
The occurrence of a snowstorm several hours prior to appellant's slip and fall created generally slippery conditions in the community that negated the applicability of the "isolated patch of ice exception" to the "hills and ridges doctrine," and, in any event, appellant failed to establish that appellee had actual or constructive notice of ice. Judgment affirmed.
