The deaths of two persons who sold their insurance brokerage firm did not discharge the purchaser from its obligation to carry out the terms of the sale agreement and continue making payments to the sellers’ estates, the Superior Court has ruled.
A unanimous three-judge panel issued a memorandum opinion Dec. 17 in Donadio v. Fonner Insurance Associates, holding that the contract at issue represents a property right that can pass as an asset to an estate.
