As the field of candidates vying to become Pennsylvania’s next attorney general rounds into form, one significant question remains: Will Kathleen Kane, the current officeholder facing criminal charges, five civil suits, a suspended law license and a Senate investigation, put forth a re-election campaign?

While Kane has said she intends to run again, her chances of winning another four years in office are slim, ­political observers said.
