A Pennsylvania state senator who has taken a leading role in medical marijuana legislation is planning to re-enter the private practice of law at a firm that has lobbied for medical cannabis legalization.

Effective May 1, Pennsylvania Sen. Daylin Leach, D-Montgomery, is set to join Sacks Weston Diamond on a part-time basis as of counsel, after a 14-year hiatus from the law firm world. After 17 years as an attorney, he gave up his practice when he was elected to the state House of Representatives in 2002.
